We are looking to hire Airport Baggage Service Operations Agents for Full-Time shifts! Please review the job description to make sure this is the right fit for you!
The job will operate out of Frontier Airlines in Terminal 3 at the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. The BSO agent will be responsible for ensuring our baggage operation runs smoothly. This position is a dynamic position with duties that repeat by day. It is a combination of individual administrative, on-the-go bag search, and teamwork.
● Agent will work individually to assist team, ramp team, and customers to answer and resolve baggage delays in a dynamic but time sensitive environment. Duties must be completed in between flight arrivals as well as during.
● Agent will need to address and respond to requests in our baggage software system, emails, and phone calls, including voicemails.
● Agent will guide passengers in filing claims for tracking their delayed luggage.
● Agent will guide passengers in resolving claims related to damage on their baggage.
● Agent will oversee every flight arrival during their shift at the baggage claim area, review any bags that were not picked up, and analyze their story.
● Agent will need to read the tag and assess why the bag arrived to us, enter the bag into the system, and conduct follow up with the passenger to coordinate reunification with the bag. This also involves handing bags to customers directly, sending bags out through Fed-Ex, or our Ironhorse delivery service.
● After resolving a bag situation, agent is responsible for closing files out.
● Agent will conduct searches in all of our areas as well as communicating actively with our ramp to resolve baggage situations, this involves a decent amount of walking balanced out by computer administrative work
● Agent will need to fill out reports on a computer that vary by shift.
● Agent will need to keep bags organized by moving bags off of the carousel and from one room to another using a cart as well as keeping track of small details regarding a bag’s transportation.
● Agent will need to participate in several group chats to provide updates on baggage arrivals and mishandling.
● Position is indoors with occasional outdoors activities when needed.
