Financial Analyst

Dave & Buster's / Main Event is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Analyst to join our finance team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our financial planning and analysis efforts, helping Dave & Buster's make informed financial decisions, and driving business growth. You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing valuable insights to senior management and our Operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis of the company's financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Analyze key financial metrics and KPIs to identify trends, strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads and senior management to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor and analyze budget-to-actual variances and provide explanations and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Financial Modeling: Build and maintain complex financial models to evaluate various scenarios, such as mergers and acquisitions, investment decisions, or cost-saving initiatives.
• Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses to assess potential risks and opportunities.
• Data Reporting and Presentation: Prepare and present financial reports, summaries, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Create visually appealing dashboards and reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Cost Analysis: Analyze cost structures and cost drivers to identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Assist in developing cost reduction strategies and monitoring their implementation.
• Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
• Ad Hoc Analysis: Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree or CFA/CPA certification is a plus).
• Several years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a corporate finance or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel).
• Knowledge of financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, financial planning software).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and interact effectively with various departments.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and accounting principles.

Salary Range: $63,840 - $85,120
