Surgical 900 W South is a 25 bed adult med/surg unit. We care for a variety of patients with our specialty focused on GI and GU post-surgical patients. We offer special training for suprapubic catheter insertion, post-bariatric surgery training and much more. Do you want to be a part of a team that puts patient care first and see a large variety of diagnosis; this is the place for you. We work very closely with other disciplines to provide excellent care and outcomes. Our unit is equipped with the latest technology, including the new virtual nursing program. Job Summary


Utilizes the nursing process to effectively assess the needs of patients, identify a plan of care, and implement and evaluate the care given. Provides direct and indirect care to patients and leads the patient care team toward goal achievement in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy. Leads employees to accomplish all job objectives; inspires confidence and motivation to enhance employee satisfaction.


Job Requirements


Education


• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing


Experience


• Preferred: At least five years of clinical experience, one year of charge nurse experience, and one year of experience in the area of specialization

• Exhibits valuable time management skill
• Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Required: RN license active in the state of Missouri
• Required: BLS must be obtained within 90 daysEducation: ▪ Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing.
