Is a Chicago-based nonprofit that removes barriers to employment by eliminating biases that disqualify candidates unnecessarily. Working with local and global companies, Skills brings opportunities to neighborhoods and municipalities throughout the Chicagoland area. To be eligible for Skills for Chicago services, candidates must reside in Illinois, Indiana or Wisconsin, be authorized to work in the United States, and be either unemployed or underemployed.

• Build strong rapport with guests and team members while delivering exceptional guest experiences 
• Provide professional product recommendations during every service to drive sales and satisfaction 
• Assist Elite or Master Hair Stylist mentors while actively developing technical and business skills 
• Meet or exceed individual sales and productivity goals through consistent performance 
• Participate in education events, workshops, and business development meetings to support ongoing growth and maintain salon standards 

• An active cosmetology or esthetics license is required (no prior work experience necessary) 
• Must be 18 years old or older 
• Proficiency with latest salon techniques and equipment is an asset 
• Relevant soft skills include strong listening and verbal communication
