The Automation Technician performs skilled work in inspecting, testing, calibrating, repairing, and installing electronic systems. This position will ensure quality repairs and seamless integration of automation equipment. The role requires strong electrical troubleshooting skills and a commitment to high-quality installation and maintenance of ADS Services and Power Chokes products, while also maintaining positive customer relationships.
Responsibilities
This role involves working at the home base, test/training sites, and customer field locations, offering a fast-paced and varied schedule. Responsibilities include supporting control system design, prototyping, testing, and documentation. You'll work with PLC code, schematics, BOMs, and manuals while troubleshooting networks, wiring, and power electronics.
Field duties include installing, commissioning, and maintaining ADS and Power Choke MPD systems—covering valves, hydraulics, electrical, and software components. You'll ensure compliance with safety and industry standards, complete required training, and keep software and documentation up to date across the fleet. Additional tasks may be assigned by the Engineering or Commissioning Manager.
