Associate General Counsel Key Responsibilities Job Description We are seeking an experienced and skilled Associate General Counsel to join our leadership team. As a key member of the organization, you will provide strategic oversight for risk management, including developing controls and mitigation strategies. Develop positive working relationships with staff and inspire others to perform at a higher level. Coach and counsel staff, and administer appropriate disciplinary action in a timely manner. Ensure all staff receive new hire and annual training on time. Identify potential risks for patients through ongoing discussions and meetings with directors and clinic staff. Participate in clinical outcomes programs and work towards meeting organizational targets for established metrics. Develop long-term plans for improving safety, effectiveness, and efficiency. Provide directives for developing, reviewing, and conducting analyses related to strategies for maximizing safety, effectiveness, and efficiency. Point of contact for policy, procedure, and process development that reduces or mitigates risk exposure. Analyze and report key risks, controls, and mitigation strategies. Establish standard processes for data tracking and relevant policy deadlines. Additional Responsibilities include : Identify and analyze legal issues, drafting key documents, and presenting clear recommendations to senior leaders. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Develop and review policies, practices, and guidelines. Assist in representing the organization in legal proceedings. Provide counsel to senior leaders. Develop corporate governance procedures. Review and prepare contracts and other legal documents. Required Skills and Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in litigation or business law required. In-house and law firm experience highly desirable. At least 3 years of experience within a healthcare environment is mandatory. Supervisory experience is necessary. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
