Job Responsibilities

We are seeking an Electrical Project Manager to join our construction firm. As part of our team, you oversee multiple crews and implement the installation of large-scale electrical systems. You manage work sequencing, interpret blueprints and schematics, and ensure safe and timely completion of all projects. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, and our ideal candidate possesses significant prior experience organizing and administering multiple crews on large work sites. You should have ample experience with installation and construction processes, as well as experience with blueprint reading, electrical schematics, wiring, conduit work, and thorough knowledge of workplace safety practices.

  • The Project Manager is to ensure that all construction activities are completed safely, on-schedule, and within the allocated budget for the project.
  • The Project Manager is to work alongside the project stakeholders, including the owner and general contractor, to deliver the executed project per established work plan, budget, and scope.
  • The Project Manager is to coordinate with Estimating and Preconstruction to establish guidelines for project launch, baseline project plans, and prefabrication activities.
  • The Project Manager is responsible for control of crew productivity and manpower allocations.
  • The Project Manager is responsible for knowledge and upkeep of all contract documents, including plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • The Project Manager is responsible for providing timely and accurate cost reporting.
  • The Project Manager is responsible for preparing and tracking Requests For Information (RFIs).
  • The Project Manager is to support hiring, training, and retention of field personnel.
  • The Project Manager is to oversee quality assurance and quality control of prefabricated and installed construction work to ensure that it complies with scope of work and code requirements.
  • The Project Manager is responsible for the general safety of all team members and subcontractors, including their own well-being, by adherence, enforcement, and promotion of workplace safety procedures outlined in the Safety Handbook.
  • The Project Manager is to attend all scheduled operational and leadership meetings.
  • The Project Manager may be assigned other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • The Project Manager must have knowledge of job cost reporting, manpower projections, and estimating.
  • The Project Manager must be proficient in working with construction trade software, including construction management, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and productivity tracking software.
  • The Project Manager must have advanced knowledge of construction methods, troubleshooting, resource management, administration, and trade coordination.
  • The Project Manager must be able to read, comprehend, interpret, and communicate information obtained from blueprints, models, and specifications.
  • The Project Manager must be current on the latest codes associated with their assigned trade in addition to the latest OSHA and state safety regulations.

Working Conditions

  • The Project Manager must be willing and able to travel to assigned jobsite locations.
  • The Project Manager must be able and willing to work atypical schedules necessary to complete assigned construction project(s), including nights and weekends.

Physical Requirements

  • Work at various heights utilizing ladders, scaffolds, and powered lifts.
  • Stand, bend, and squad for extended periods of time.

  • Construction management suites (ProjectSight, Procore, Autodesk CC), Enterprise Resource Planning software (eCMS, Spectrum Viewpoint), productivity tracking software (CrewHD), Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Adobe, estimating software, BIM modeling software.
