Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-sufficient Estimator with strong experience in heavy civil/site construction and proven proficiency with Agtek software . The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running with minimal training and play a critical role in preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial site development projects throughout Central Florida , including Orange County, Osceola County, and the City of Orlando.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for site work projects, including earthwork, utilities, grading, and paving.
Use Agtek software for takeoffs, site modeling, material calculations, and analysis of project plans.
Review bid documents, plans, and specifications to determine project scope and required resources.
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
Collaborate with project managers and field teams to align estimates with real-world project execution.
Maintain and update historical cost data and pricing databases.
Ensure compliance with local codes and requirements for jurisdictions including Orange County, Osceola County, and the City of Orlando .

Qualifications

5+ years of estimating experience in land development, site construction, or heavy civil projects.
Proficiency in Agtek (site modeling, takeoffs, material quantification).
Strong understanding of site development practices, including grading, utility installation, and paving.
Experience estimating for projects in Central Florida is preferred.
Ability to interpret complex plans and specifications.
Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
