We are currently seeking an  EXPERIENCED MOTOR/SERVO TECHNICIAN in the greater Hickory, NC area. For the right candidate we offer  RELOCATION EXPENSES . Position Summary:
The Electric Motor/Servo Technician is responsible for the inspection, testing, repair, and rebuilding of AC/DC electric motors, servo motors, gear motors, and related equipment. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems, performing precision repairs, and ensuring all work meets industry and customer standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, disassemble, clean, and rebuild electric and servo motors
• Test windings, insulation, and performance using specialized tools and test equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair encoders, feedback devices, and electrical components
• Balance rotors and shafts; replace bearings, seals, and brushes as needed
• Document repairs, test results, and parts used accurately
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and customers
• Follow all safety and quality assurance procedures

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience repairing or servicing electric motors, servo motors, or similar equipment (preferred)
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, AC/DC systems, and motor control fundamentals
• Experience with precision measuring instruments, multimeters, megohmmeters, and oscilloscopes
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training is a plus
