Job Title: Facilities Specialist - 18 month W2 contract role

Location: On-Site – Greenville, SC

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Experience Level: 3+ years

Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Facilities Specialist to support a dynamic advanced manufacturing and research environment. This role involves hands-on maintenance, coordination of facility systems, and responsive support to ensure smooth operations across both office and industrial spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and support maintenance activities for a range of facility systems including HVAC, air compressors, backup generators, gas and electrical distribution, audio-visual equipment, mobile machinery, and general upkeep.
• Respond to urgent facility needs and provide support to internal teams during events or critical operations.
• Document maintenance procedures, technical specifications, and operational data in alignment with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) and engineering standards.
• Communicate promptly regarding any significant facility issues or maintenance developments.
• Participate actively in company-wide EHS programs and ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed (e.g., LOTO, rigging, ladder safety).
• Troubleshoot technical issues with minimal supervision, applying strong problem-solving skills.
• Assist in sourcing and procuring materials and tools required for maintenance tasks.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant or industrial maintenance, or an associate degree/certification in maintenance, manufacturing, construction, or related technical field with at least 3 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of facility systems, safety protocols, and hands-on maintenance practices.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
