About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with substantial experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or internal medicine/primary care. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is confident in managing a broad range of acute and chronic conditions, and is highly skilled in performing minor procedures across all age groups. This role requires clinical excellence, strong decision-making skills, and the ability to balance efficiency with compassionate, patient-centered care.

• Clinical Expertise: Skilled in evaluating, diagnosing, and managing a wide variety of urgent and routine medical conditions.
• Procedural Proficiency: Confident performing procedures such as laceration repairs, incision and drainage, splinting, wound care, abscess management, foreign body removal, and more.
• Critical Thinking: Ability to quickly assess and prioritize patient needs while adapting to rapidly changing situations.
• Communication Excellence: Clear, concise, and empathetic communication with patients, families, and team members.
• Leadership & Teamwork: Strong leadership presence; able to mentor and collaborate with clinical and front-office staff to ensure seamless patient flow and exceptional care.
• Adaptability: Comfortable working extended hours, alternate weekends, and adapting to different patient volumes and acuity levels.
• Time Management: Ability to multi-task without sacrificing quality of care.
• Technology Skills: Proficient with EMR systems (Athena experience preferred) and able to chart efficiently while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care from initial evaluation through follow-up.
• Lead and oversee patient care during each shift, ensuring a smooth workflow and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Demonstrate professionalism, positivity, and high energy in every patient and staff interaction.
• Actively contribute to a supportive, solutions-focused team environment.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical best practices and current medical guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia PA or NP license in good standing.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or internal medicine/primary care.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS preferred.
• Proven ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
