Summary Position Overview
We are seeking experienced FHA professionals to support pre-conveyance compliance activities involving extension reviews, foreclosure timeline validation, and conveyance eligibility analysis. This role requires strong regulatory judgment, system proficiency, and the ability to produce audit-ready, legally defensible determinations that directly impact conveyance outcomes and program integrity.
Duties Key Responsibilities
Pre-Conveyance Review - Review pre-conveyance submissions and supporting documentation from mortgagees.
- Evaluate foreclosure timelines, occupancy status, and conveyance eligibility.
- Identify curable and non-curable deficiencies prior to conveyance.
- Validate compliance with FHA requirements, deadlines, and policy guidance.
Extension & Compliance Analysis - Review and process extension of time requests in accordance with FHA policy.
- Identify regulatory non-compliance impacting conveyance eligibility.
- Apply FHA policy judgment to complex or high-risk pre-conveyance scenarios.
- Document determinations with clear regulatory support.
Systems & Documentation - Enter determinations, case notes, and supporting documentation in HUD-designated systems, including P260.
- Maintain complete, audit-ready electronic case files.
- Ensure traceability between analysis, findings, and outcomes.
Quality & Compliance - Meet production, accuracy, and timeliness standards.
- Apply FHA policy consistently across all reviews.
- Support quality control, oversight, and escalation activities.
Security & Data Protection - Safeguard PII and CUI in accordance with federal requirements.
- Comply with system access, authentication, and remote-work security protocols.
Requirements Required Qualifications
- Experience with FHA pre-conveyance compliance, foreclosure timelines, or conveyance review.
- Strong knowledge of FHA conveyance requirements and regulatory deadlines.
- Ability to interpret HUD policies, handbooks, and Mortgagee Letters.
- Excellent analytical and written documentation skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain access to federal systems.
- Ability to pass and maintain a federal background investigation.
- Background Check: Federal Background Investigation Required
Nice To Haves Preferred Qualifications
- Experience reviewing extension of time requests.
- Pre-conveyance escalation or exception review experience.
- Experience using P260, FHA Connection, or similar systems.
- Background in audit, quality control, or regulatory compliance.

This position is covered under the Service Contract Act (SCA) and compensated in accordance with the applicable U.S. Department of Labor Wage Determination.
Compensation
- Pay Type: Hourly
- Pay Rate: SCA-compliant; based on experience and contract requirements
- Pay Frequency: Bi-monthly
- Overtime: Paid in accordance with federal and state law when authorized
