Position Overview

We are seeking a General Manager – Manufacturing Operations (Primary/Hot Rolling) to lead manufacturing operations at our Latrobe, PA facility . This high-impact role oversees key production areas, including Melting, Press, and Continuous Rolling Mill, and is responsible for delivering results in safety, quality, delivery, and cost . This is a critical leadership position backfilling a promotion and offers the opportunity to shape the culture and operational performance of the plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the activities of multiple manufacturing departments and approximately 170 plant personnel.
• Directly supervise and develop area department managers.
• Drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, cost, and operational performance.
• Establish a culture of accountability, engagement, and collaboration from leadership to hourly staff.
• Partner with HR and EHS to support positive employee relations and maintain a safe, compliant work environment.
• Manage budgets and performance metrics; align resources with production goals.
• Support and enforce corporate initiatives, policies, and safety standards, including OSHA compliance.

Additional Requirement

• Proven leader with at least 10 years of manufacturing experience, including 5 years in a management role.
• Demonstrated success in heavy industrial or hot working environments; seal industry experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of budget management, cost-output analysis, and process optimization.
• Experience working in or with unionized facilities is preferred, though not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, conflict resolution ability, and a sense of urgency.
• Background in safety management and OSHA policy compliance is highly desirable.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering , or a related field required.
