We’re partnering with a global retail business undergoing bold transformation and growth. Behind the scenes, this company powers some of the most recognized experiences in the global consumer retail world. They’re now searching confidentially for a world-class procurement leader to take the reins of a complex, high-impact, global procurement function spanning both direct and indirect categories.

The Role:

As Global Procurement Director , you will lead end-to-end procurement across multiple regions and business units. This includes category management, supplier performance, risk mitigation, strategic sourcing, ESG initiatives, and cost optimization. The total addressable spend is substantial—think billions, not millions, and covers everything from technology and logistics to packaging and raw materials.

This is not about “keeping the lights on.” This is about transforming the function , influencing the C-suite, and delivering measurable results across a dynamic and high-growth retail ecosystem.

What You’ll Own:

• Drive global procurement strategy across both direct (e.g., goods for resale, packaging, ingredients) and indirect (e.g., IT, logistics, marketing, facilities) categories
• Lead and grow a high-performing team across geographies
• Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, ESG, Innovation, and the C-suite
• Implement and scale best-in-class sourcing, negotiation, and SRM practices
• Navigate global supplier relationships and complex geopolitical sourcing challenges
• Build ESG and sustainability into procurement KPIs and reporting
• Drive digital transformation across tools, systems, and analytics within procurement

What We’re Looking For:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement and sourcing leadership, ideally across global, matrixed organizations
• Experience in both direct and indirect categories
• Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, cost management, and supply base development
• Strong commercial mindset; you think like a P&L owner, not a policy enforcer
• Executive presence and ability to influence across cultures and functions
• Retail, CPG, or high-growth consumer industry experience preferred
• Based in or open to relocating to Seattle
