Job Description
Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Instructional Design and Technology, is responsible for the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of high-quality online and blended courses. This role collaborates closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), faculty, and team members from the Instructional Design (ID) and Learning Management System (LMS) departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist in the development and redesign of online and blended courses utilizing interactive content.
• Collaborate with SME’s to identify, create, and deploy learning content.
• Ensure all course contents are consistent with policies established by the institution.
• Assess and discuss the implementation of curriculum standards with stakeholders.
• Create solutions that satisfy the needs of a diverse set of learners.
• Communicate and collaborate frequently and effectively with various project collaborators, team members, SME’s, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure that objectives are being met.
• Other duties as assigned not listed above directed by the Director of Instructional Design and Technology
Computer Skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Outlook, and Word) and data entry.
• Must have excellent computer skills and ability to learn technology quick.
• Must have expertise in Canvas, Canva, Genially, Adobe Creative Suite.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in instructional design.
• 3+ years of experience in curriculum design.
• Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design principles.
• Background in training/teaching and/or adult learning preferred
