PrideStaff on behalf of a client located in Fort Lauderdale, is seeking an experienced and professional Insurance Verification Clerk who can verify medical insurance eligibility. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in this role. Apply today!

• Familiar with commercial insurances: primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance
• Communicating with patients to inform them regarding their coverage, what procedures are and are not covered, and any out-of-pocket expenses
• Entering and maintaining accurate insurance information in the patient record
• Verify patient eligibility and coverage details with insurance providers
• Submit authorization requests to insurance companies and follow up on pending authorizations
• Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement for authorized procedures
• Strong knowledge of medical insurance policies, procedures, and terminology
• Proficient in using computer systems and software for data entry and record keeping

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience dealing with insurance verification
• Must be able to effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and co-workers.
• Must be detail-oriented, proactive, organized, and able to multitask.
• Comply with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and other third-party payers’ guidelines

Must be able to submit to a background check and a drug screen
