Job Description

We are conducting a confidential search for a Legal Counsel with a company that is a global supplier of industrial components to the automotive, commercial vehicle, and agricultural markets. This is a direct-hire position and it is based around Commerce, GA.

Reporting to the President & CEO of North America, responsibilities may include:

• Drafting and negotiating all necessary contracts required by all departments
• Managing legal budget and NAFTA Region external law firms according to the Group policies
• Analyzing and identifying the legal risks and implications of all the business’s transactions
• Communicating to top management any developments in laws and regulations that potentially affect the business
• Handling of corporate matters (BOD & SHM minutes, Power of attorneys, by laws amendments etc.)
• Implementing and managing the NAFTA compliance program concerning corporate criminal liability (risk assessment, drafting of manuals/procedure, monitoring)
• Implementing local NAFTA training on legal, corporate, and compliance matters
• Managing the legal aspects related to IPR topics and liaison with corporate personnel to manage the procedural aspect related to the patent filings

Target Qualifications:

● Bachelors degree/JD

● 2+ years experience acting as a Legal Counsel for a manufacturing company

● Experience in employment law, contracts/legal agreements, and compliance

● Experience working for a global organization is a plus

● Good communication skills
