Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging Italian language lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum. Foster a passion for language learning and cultural appreciation in a supportive, inclusive environment. Use diverse teaching strategies and resources to cater to different learning styles. Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate Italian across the curriculum. Contribute to whole-school events celebrating Italian culture, including our annual Italian Day. Assess and report in line with the Victorian Curriculum 2.0, providing constructive feedback through semester reports. Share student learning through assemblies and newsletters. Promote conversational Italian in daily routines and encourage independence through tools like Languages Online. Incorporate music, singing, and prayers in Italian to enhance confidence and cultural understanding. Uphold child safety policies and support student wellbeing. Skills & Experience Required Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification. A strong commitment to Catholic education. Experience teaching LOTE - Italian P-6. Ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Ability to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students. Enthusiasm for implementing a differentiated curriculum and using modern technology to support student learning. Eagerness to learn and grow professionally. Special Requirements St Joseph the Worker promotes the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of all children; the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children.
