Are you an experienced Electrician looking for a hands-on role where your skills make an impact? EMR, a global leader in metal recycling, is hiring a Maintenance Electrician to join our New Orleans, LA depot!

What You’ll Do:

• Troubleshoot and repair motors, VFD’s, PLC’s and electrical components on conveyor systems
• Conduct scheduled maintenance and keep maintenance records
• Observe safety procedures, LOTO, and meet electrical codes
• Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, switch boxes, receptacles and other electrical components
• Test equipment such as digital multimeters, current clamps on Ammeters, etc.
• Other job duties as assigned

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong work ethic, teamwork skills, and ability to multitask
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Creative problem solving skills, and the ability to resolve issues and provide solutions
• Ability to work with PLC’s, VFD’s, electrical schematics, and troubleshooting
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screening

Safety First:

This role requires PPE, including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, a hard hat, high-visibility gear, and ear protection. Expect exposure to dust, fumes, and noise in a fast-paced recycling environment.
