Title: Maintence Manager
Location: Kansas City, MO
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the operational integrity of a manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for optimizing equipment performance, managing facility upkeep, and leading a skilled maintenance team. The ideal candidate will ensure all systems—mechanical, electrical, and robotic—operate efficiently and safely, while also driving preventative maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate all maintenance activities, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum equipment reliability.
Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules and respond swiftly to equipment failures.
Supervise and mentor maintenance staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and cross-functional collaboration.
Monitor and report on maintenance KPIs, budget adherence, and resource utilization.
Collaborate with operations leadership to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact production.
Maintain accurate records of work orders, equipment history, and repair documentation.
Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Oversee building systems including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, alarm systems, and fire safety equipment.
Manage grounds maintenance including landscaping, snow removal, pest control, and fencing.
Source and manage external contractors for specialized facility repairs and upgrades.
Support continuous improvement projects and contribute to strategic planning for facility enhancements.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience in industrial maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems, including PLC troubleshooting.
Familiarity with environmental compliance programs and safety protocols.
Excellent leadership and team development skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Comfortable with hands-on problem solving and decision-making under pressure.
Ability to operate and train others on powered industrial equipment.
Flexible schedule and commitment to maintaining high standards of work quality and safety.
