Join our team as a Pharmacy Manager , at UPMC Western Maryland, where you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care and leading a dynamic team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Oversee pharmacy operations including dispensing and compounded product preparation.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Manage budgets for drugs, services, and personnel.
• Recruit, hire, and mentor staff; conduct performance evaluations and enforce corrective actions.
• Schedule pharmacists to ensure full coverage of operational and on-call hours.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and support cost-effective drug therapy.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders to meet program and service goals.
• Promote staff development, innovation, and progressive learning.
• Maintain current knowledge in drug therapy and complete pharmacist competencies.
• Support and conduct research related to pharmacy practice.

REQUIRED:
B.S. degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D.) from an accredited school of pharmacy required.
Three years experience in a broad range of pharmacy operational, clinical, or administrative pharmacy practice OR completion of an HSPAL postgraduate pharmacy residency required.

PREFERRED:
Master's degree in pharmacy administration or healthcare management (MS, MBA, MHA) preferred.
PGY-1 postgraduate pharmacy residency preferred.
Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) certification preferred.
Prior inpatient pharmacy leadership experience preferred.
