Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Metallurgical Engineer to join our team in Mossville, IL. This is a contract position with an immediate start, ideal for professionals with a background in Materials Science and a passion for hands-on lab work and failure analysis. You’ll play a key role in supporting product engineering decisions through detailed metallurgical investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Metallurgical Laboratory and external clients to conduct failure analyses.
• Photograph and document as-received parts, capturing all identifying markings.
• Develop and execute structured test plans for analysis.
• Compile findings into detailed, conclusive lab reports that inform engineering direction.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Science and Engineering.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in a metallurgical or engineering setting.
• Hands-on exposure to metallurgical laboratory equipment and testing methods.
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated creativity, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset.
• Preferred: Experience performing failure analysis.
