As a Neurologist, successful candidates would be expected to participate in the clinical, educational, and research activities at Hebrew SeniorLife, Deanna and Sidney Wolk Center for Memory Health. Clinical cognitive care is provided in the Deanna and Sidney Wolk Center for Memory Health, a multidisciplinary specialty clinic with neurology, geriatrics, psychiatry, nursing, neuropsychology, behavioral health, social work, and administrative support. Contributions to our comprehensive educational programs for trainees include supervising medical students and assisting fellows in Geriatrics. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with professional experience and qualifications. Core Competencies include the ability to diagnose and treat neurological conditions in adult and geriatric patients using current evidence-based techniques; provide education on neurological concepts and treatment approaches to patients, staff, and families; demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in documentation; stay informed of current professional trends; work effectively within a team; lead team activities; promote a friendly working environment; respect and value others; identify self-development goals; and maintain an ethical work environment. Position Responsibilities include performing cognitive assessments, collaborating with professional staff on diagnosis and treatment plans, performing diagnostic procedures such as Lumbar Puncture, providing dementia care management, monitoring disease progression, evaluating treatment effectiveness, participating in multidisciplinary clinical rounds, documenting patient visits timely, identifying and resolving service delivery problems, providing education and training, serving on committees, assisting with neuromodulation clinical program implementation, enhancing professional growth through research and educational activities, collaborating on program development, participating in technology development for cognitive assessments, engaging in grant-funded activities, and completing special projects as assigned. Qualifications require an MD, successful completion of an accredited Neurology Residency Program, a US medical license preferably in Massachusetts, experience with dementia patients and families preferred, expertise in neurophysiology and neuroimaging, and clinical and translational research experience preferred.
