The OnBase consultant/Systems analyst will serve as principal point of contact for all hardware, database software and application software that interacts with or supports the OnBase solution. The Consultant/Systems Analyst must work effectively with other members of the organizations IT staff to troubleshoot and diagnose issues associated with these components of the overall solution if they arise. The position calls for participating in a project to deploy OnBase throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Ability to work independently and communicate with clients and management confidently and articulately
• Presenting and participating in conference calls with clients and coworkers
• Work under the direction of the Manager to provide technical application solutions for assigned business areas
• Work with the vendor and the project team to build and maintain all modules of the ECM system
• Work in collaboration with Business and Testing Team analysts for system and integration test execution for all required workflows and supporting functions.
• Work with Integration team to help maintain integration points to ancillary applications.
• Determine the appropriate rights and privileges for OnBase-specific roles
• Work with Security team on necessary maintenance of application security related items.
• Manage/work administrative work queues for daily OnBase processes (i.e. Document Corrections)
• Maintain and update OnBase Administration Guide
• Setting up OnBase on New Workstations
• Running Configuration and Audit Reports
• Generate and review OnBase logs to identify error events that may have occurred
• Analyzing Disk Groups and storage requirements
• Create an issue resolution guide for the most common user help desk calls
• Communicate issue status and support activities to others in the organization
• Identify new functionality in OnBase that can be applied to new and existing OnBase solutions
• Support demonstrations of prospective new solutions within the organization
• Create and maintain a testing/training environment that mirrors the production environment
• Develop training materials for defined user roles
• Provide continuing education for users on modified, new, and upgraded solutions
Qualifications:
• BS degree in Information Technology or similar is highly preferred or other relevant combination of training and experience.
• Strong background in healthcare applications build and maintenance including HL7 understanding and experience
• Competence accessing and monitoring servers, querying SQL databases and creating reports, and some scripting/programming experience
• Proven track record of completing projects independently
• Strong verbal, communications, and project management skills
• OnBase ECM experience in a Healthcare setting required
• Experience with configuring and supporting OnBase SaaS implementations is highly desirable
Experience:
• 2-5 years experience supporting OnBase ECM solution
• 3-5 years healthcare IT applications and EMR Integration experience
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting application software
• Experience conducting end user training and customer service
• Experience with defect and change management processes preferred
• Experience with security group implementation with OnBase or another healthcare IT application preferred
• Experience documenting business and technical requirements and user manuals.
Travel Requirements:
• Will require go-live and after hours on-call support
Working Arrangements:
• Participate in 24x7 after hours on-call support rotation - including 12-hours on / 12-hours off kind of support schedules during go-live events
• Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
Position Summary: The Application Analyst participates in the design, development, and implementation of assigned healthcare applications. Further, the Applications Analyst defines and implements user-driven system enhancements/modifications.
Duties and Responsibilities: -
Uses standard project planning methodologies. Uses knowledge of present and planned applications installed or to be installed, has expertise in healthcare applications? Applies technical expertise in file/screen building, report writing and maintaining master files, profiles and forms? Develops specifications to support the design of new or modified applications. Serves as a liaison with user departments in design, implementation, and modification of applications
Analyzes the current environment system policies in order to meet Information Services and user expectations. Participates in troubleshooting application problems. Uses standard problem management methodologies
Reviews software problems, analyzes issues and develops potential solutions. Documents all software problems, solutions and outcomes for future reference. Prepares user defined custom reports
Reviews and evaluates user requests/needs and implements necessary/ appropriates changes? Documents all programming requests and follows established programming standards Implements vendor system enhancements and custom programs
Follows established program change control methodologies for all clinical systems modification and maintenance projects. Participates in interface mapping and design, tests interface transactions, and troubleshoots interface issues
Tests updated systems to ensure quality assurance standards have been met? Administers support programs for all facility/function-wide applications? Ensures the proper tools are in place for departmental areas to function properly. Participates in the administration of training programs for health system on the use of applications for specific departmental needs. May develop training materials and conduct training sessions for assigned system applications, as necessary Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology or related field, required AND a minimum of three (3) years related clinical computer experience in a hospital or practice setting, required or High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of ten (10) years related clinical computer experience in a hospital or practice setting, required?
