Job Description
A Physician Liaison in a doctor's office who works with attorneys for patients typically has a role focused on managing relationships and facilitating communication between healthcare providers and legal professionals.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Relationship Management:**
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local attorneys, law firms, and other legal professionals.
- Serve as the primary contact for attorneys seeking medical records or information related to patient cases.
2. **Patient Advocacy:**
- Assist patients in navigating the intersection of healthcare and legal matters, ensuring they receive appropriate support.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to understand patient conditions and treatment plans to communicate effectively with attorneys.
3. **Information Coordination:**
- Collect and organize relevant medical documentation, including records, treatment notes, and diagnostic results, for attorney requests.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of medical information to support legal cases.
4. **Education and Training:**
- Educate legal professionals about the medical services offered by the practice and the nuances of various medical conditions.
- Conduct presentations and workshops for attorneys on relevant medical topics to enhance understanding and collaboration.
