OVERVIEW:
A technical team supporting flight-related systems is seeking a versatile software engineer to enhance and adapt web-based tools used for navigation data. The ideal individual will bring a mix of programming fluency, infrastructure knowledge, and experience working within agile frameworks.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Help design and build modern solutions using a leading cloud provider’s services
Write, maintain, and troubleshoot code using several languages (object-oriented and scripting)
Follow agile routines including daily syncs, backlog grooming, and planning
Support multiple hosting environments through testing, updates, and patches
Coordinate with other developers, analysts, and stakeholders for implementation and troubleshooting
TECHNICAL BACKGROUND SOUGHT:
Familiarity with compute and storage tools offered by a major cloud platform (e.g., EC2, Lambda)
Strong command of Python and either Java or C#
Comfortable writing documentation and using Git-based repositories
Experience with JavaScript-based UI frameworks (preferably React) and API development
Able to integrate data into dynamic visual dashboards or filterable interfaces
Understanding of DevOps pipelines, version control, and testing strategies
WHO YOU ARE:
You have, at minimum, an active Top Secret clearance (TS/SCI, CI Poly preferred)
You’ve worked with front-end or full-stack systems for 3+ years
You're adept at working with databases, CI/CD tools, and collaborative ticketing platforms
You’ve worked in cloud-hosted environments or with containerized services
You bring attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and solid communication skills
You hold a degree (or equivalent experience) and a current high-level clearance (TS/SCI)
ADDITIONAL SKILLS THAT HELP:
Certifications in cloud development or operations
Prior work with aviation or DoD geospatial data
Experience with infrastructure-as-code or cloud config scripting
Exposure to secure coding practices and authorization frameworks
Knowledge of tools like Jira, Confluence, or Swagger-style API design
