The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Radiology Assistant serves as department liaison for the Radiology Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing radiology image requests and test results. Performs clerical duties including record keeping, scheduling, and maintains high-quality services.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Knowledge of medical terminology

Preferred:

• Customer service experience in a healthcare setting
• 1 year of healthcare experience

Scheduling Requirements:

• Working Shift: Monday – Friday
• Day Shift
• Full-Time, 37.5 Hours Per Week

Essential Functions:

• Burns CDs upon request, verifying all pertinent information is correct
• Imports outside CDs for internal and external customers
• Digitizes Fluoro and OR films
• Process requests to sign-out patient studies ensuring that all requested studies and results are included
• Retrieves studies from PACs and print them as needed
• Arrange for transfer or patient CD s and reports to outside facilities, attorneys, etc.
• Triage request and transfer telephone calls to appropriate locations within the Imaging Department
• Complete request/upload and share images thru stratus image share with other facilities for patient care
• Performs all clerical duties assigned by management while maintaining a high-quality services
• Schedules exams as needed
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality, following all HIPAA regulations
• Provide support to the Imaging Department and all ancillary areas to enhance patient care
