Report Analytics Developer/Engineer

We are looking for a passionate Report Analytics Developer/Engineer (Entry Level) to join a new project that will modernize a web-based .NET system into the Azure Cloud using various cutting-edge technologies. Additionally, the goal of this project will be to automate the customer's manual processes. The software development lifecycle will leverage an Agile framework with DevSecOps processes using Agile teams.

What will you do:

This requisition is for a Reporting/Analytics Developer with experience developing business practices for the delivery of information within the Microsoft Power BI environment.

The Report Analytics Developer/Engineer is expected to:

• Work with the customer and the customer's technical resources to translate requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories for both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Develop business practices for the delivery of information within the Microsoft Power BI environment.
• Turn various sources of data into both static, real-time and interactive data visualizations by reading data directly from a database, webpage, PDF or structured files such as spreadsheets, CSV, XLM, JSON, etc.
• Design and create scheduled and real-time delivery of reports, ad hoc reporting, end-user developer report integration, scorecards, dashboards and metrics/analysis tools to support business operations.
• Extract, transform, and analyze data and statistics from systems and various data stores to confirm assumptions and identify trends and opportunities.
• Translate business needs into analytics/reporting requirements.
• Create standards for reports and data analysis.
• Identify data quality issues by developing data quality audits, profiling data and resolving data inconsistencies.
• Support Agile teams in Backlog planning, work item refinement and story point analysis.
• Ensure that User Stories have well-defined acceptance criteria.
• For User Stories assigned to the engineer, ensure that work meets the acceptance criteria and is completed by the end of the sprint.
• Demonstrate work completed in a sprint to the customer.
• Support sprint retrospectives and incremental improvements based on feedback.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 0 years with BS/BA; 4 years of experience without a degree
• Experience using Microsoft Power BI in a Microsoft Azure Cloud environment.
• Experience with SQLServer, PostgreSQL and No SQL database technologies for data manipulation.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and PDF document generation.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to execute in a remote team environment.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Agency Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Agile Certification
• Experience using Team Foundation Server (aka Azure Dev Ops) for managing sprint backlogs, features and user stories.
• Experience with using GitHub to leverage CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps deployments.

Target Salary Range

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
