Senior Landscape Architect | Project Manager (5+ Years Experience)

ADLA Studio is a boutique landscape architecture and construction firm based in Austin, TX. Our work blends ecology, art, and craft to create meaningful, site-responsive landscapes. While we focus on custom residential environments, our portfolio also includes select institutional and urban-edge projects. Each design is rooted in place and built with an attention to detail that carries from concept through construction.

We are looking for a Senior Landscape Designer / Project Lead to join our small, collaborative team. This is a key role for someone who excels at both design leadership and technical execution.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead all phases of landscape design: concept, schematic, CDs, and construction admin
• Oversee grading, drainage, lighting, planting, and hardscape detailing
• Produce high-quality drawings and documentation for permitting and construction
• Manage client communication and expectations throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and city officials
• Contribute to estimating, construction strategy, and on-site decision making
• Participate in internal design charrettes and reviews

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience in Senior Landscape Architecture, design:build preferable
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and detailing
• Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills
• Confidence managing multiple projects and leading client meetings
• Knowledge of Austin climate, plants, permitting processes, and urban design context is a plus
• Passion for high-quality work, collaboration, and thoughtful design
