This Summer internship program will be an 8-week rotation (working 36-40 hours/week Monday - Friday) in each discipline of the agency platform (DUS Production, DUS Underwriting, Closing, Asset Management). The experience will be focused on teaching and case studies with each department highlighting the roles and responsibilities of their teams. Interns will be exposed to every part of the company and experience the entire life of each loan. Additionally, this will give interns the opportunity to learn about the business and which area would be most interesting to them for their career. We are excited to be part of your bright future!

Internship Rotational Areas of Focus:

Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac Platform

• DUS Production Management – Focus on screening new transactions, competing with other capital sources, and winning new business and the capital markets function involved with each transaction.
• DUS Underwriting – Focus on full due diligence process and credit decisions to determine risks, mitigants, and programmatic compliance.
• Closing – Learn about the funding mechanisms, data flow, and source of capital to fund loans.
• Asset Management – Learn how we monitor and manage the ongoing risk of the portfolio, engage with client requests and/or issues that arise, and communicate with the stakeholders over the life of the loan.

Engagement With Other Northmarq Divisions

• Debt and Equity Origination
• Investment Sales
• Loan Servicing

Networking - Interns will meet in person throughout the summer with management and executives of the company to obtain a well-rounded perspective of Northmarq and the services provided by our organization.

What We're Looking For:

• Current student pursuing bachelor's or master's degree
• Experience in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite
• Interest in real estate
• Desire to learn and grow
