The Teacher for the Visually Impaired at IEP Therapy provides specialized education and support to students with visual impairments, including assessment, individualized education plan (IEP) development, and instruction in braille and mobility techniques. The role requires collaboration with educators and families to facilitate student integration into mainstream classrooms, maintain compliance with state regulations, and promote continuous professional growth. Candidates must hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License with endorsement for teaching students who are blind or visually impaired and possess the necessary certifications and skills.
