Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Tool Room Coordinator to support operations in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This position is responsible maintaining an organized tool room, putting away received items, labeling all materials that arrive to the tool room, assist with cycle counts and inventory at the direction of the plant manager. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage tools, inventory, and kit parts efficiently. Should have previous fork experience & crane exposure. 

Key Responsibilities

Tool Room & Inventory Management

• Maintain an organized tool room, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored, labeled, and tracked.
• Issue, track, and collect tools and job-specific kits for fabrication and maintenance teams.
• Kit and prepare parts for specific jobs based on work orders, ensuring all components are ready and complete.
• Receive, store, and put away small parts and inventory, updating records and labeling items accurately.
• Monitor inventory levels of consumables, tools, and spare parts, and notify purchasing when reordering is needed.
• Conduct periodic inventory counts and maintain accurate records in the inventory management system.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical training preferred.
• 5+ years of proven experience in tool room or inventory management in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Knowledge of shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing lists, and freight documentation.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes (certification preferred).
• Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory or ERP systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment.
• References required
