Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a NICU RN with at least 2 years of Level III NICU experience and a current CA RN license for a night shift contract.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Position is in a Level III NICU within a children's hospital setting
• Night shifts with a schedule of 4x12 hours, 19:00 to 07:30
• Every other weekend or as needed weekend coverage is required
• No on-call requirement
• Floats required to PICU and CTICU units depending on census
• Uses EPIC for documentation, with 8 hours of EPIC training provided
• First-time travelers considered if all other requirements are met
• Team-based structure with support for NICU, PICU, and CTICU
• Modules and orientation training, including 8 hours of EPIC training, must be completed pre-start
• Locals may be considered at the local rate, with candidates living within 50 miles identified at submission
• Maximum of 5 days requested time off allowed; holiday time off is at manager discretion
• Time off must be pre-approved and included with application to be considered
• Scrub color or uniform requirements not specified

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active CA RN license must be in hand for consideration
• Minimum 2 years of NICU RN experience required
• BLS and Advanced NRP certifications are required
• Competency required with Level III NICU procedures including phototherapy, tube feed/gavage, blood and blood products administration, PICC and peripheral line management, anti-seizure medications, caffeine, vasopressors, management of neonatal abstinence, phlebotomy, Bubble CPAP, HFNC, and ventilators
• Recent travel nursing experience required
• No record of disciplinary action (Nursys hits)
• Previous permanent staff at this hospital are not eligible
