The Registered Nurse (RN) will assess, implement, and evaluate care needed by assigned patients under the direction of a licensed physician. The RN is knowledgeable about principles, theories, and current methods and techniques of nursing practice. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN collaborates with the patient, patient's family members/significant others, professional peers, and other members of the healthcare team to individualize patient care. The RN will also direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to established standards of nursing practice, administrative, and departmental policies and procedures.
