World Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Machias, Maine.

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the perioperative period. The ideal candidate is skilled in circulating, scrubbing, and supporting recovery room needs as required. This role requires strong communication skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.

• Deliver safe and effective nursing care during all phases of the perioperative process.
• Circulate and scrub for surgical procedures as assigned.
• Assist in Pre-Op and PACU settings as needed.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative staff.
• Uphold patient safety protocols, sterile technique, and infection-control standards.
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting.
• Support the mission, values, and goals of the healthcare organization.

• Active RN license (state-specific and current).
• Minimum 1 year of recent OR nursing experience .
• Proficiency in circulating and scrubbing required.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
• Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and organizational skills.

• Holiday coverage may be required.
• EMR system: Cerner .
