Anesthesiologist opportunity at nationally recognized UPMC Pinnacle Memorial Hospital in York, PA, near three major cities. The new UPMC Pinnacle Memorial Hospital that opened in August 2019 is a 98-bed hospital with all private patient rooms. This modern facility features acute and emergency medical care, cardiology and vascular services, robotics and surgical services, and much more. With on-site space for future expansion, UPMC Memorial Hospital is continually evolving to better serve community health needs and is committed to being a sustainable choice for quality healthcare in the community. Responsibilities include assisting in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department, medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures, pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining and/or verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring of the patient's physiological condition, and performance of clinical intervention as needed. Requirements include M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine, ECFMC and FLEX, completion of approved residency in anesthesia, and current physician license. The position offers shifts of 8's, 12's, 16's, and 24's (when available). The team is led by Dr. Ravichandran Suppiah, Chief of Anesthesia, and is described as friendly and family-oriented.
