*Job Description *
*Title: *Commercial Drivers 
*Department:* Operations 
*Classification:* Non-Exempt 
*Reports to: *Route Supervisors and/or Dispatchers

*Summary: *Commercial Collection Drivers are responsible for picking up routed stops and transporting different types of materials from generators to offload facilities using a truck. They are also required to perform inspections before and after a trip. These drivers also follow appropriate safety procedures to transport dangerous cargo and maintain logs of vehicle repair status and working hours. This position may have supervisory responsibilities if assigned with a helper. 
*Duties and Responsibilities: *
* Drive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs. 
* Pick-up and safely transport waste from customer located in a timely, safe, and courteous manner 
* Follow delivery/pickup instructions from Dispatcher and Manager 
* Ensure contents are properly secured in truck to prevent damage/injury 
* Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries 
* Assist in mapping driving routes 
* Stay on predetermined route and ensure timely transport and delivery 
* Communicate with dispatch as needed 
* Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip 
* Check weather conditions and road reports before departure 
* Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean 
* Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)
* Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered 
* Follow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times 
* Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs 
* Track and report working hours 
* Adhere to company rules and regulations 
* Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions 
* Comply with ICC and DOT regulations 
* Make safety a priority at all times

*Minimum Qualifications: *
* High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred 
* Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) required (Class A, B, or C, depending on position)
* 2+ years proven experience in commercial truck driving preferred 
* Clean driving record; must present DMV printout that shows none of the following violations for the last three years to qualify for this position: o Any major violation (DWI, homicide, reckless driving, drugs, leaving the scene) o Two or more other moving violations and one at-fault accident o Three or more other moving violations o Two or more at-fault accidents without moving violations 
* Must pass background check and drug test 
*Skills, Abilities, and Attributes: *
* Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehicles 
* Alert, focused, and detail-oriented 
* Physically and mentally fit 
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time 
* Possess great physical stamina and focus during long driving shifts 
* Comfortable with long-haul transport 
* Able to operate electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc. 
* Proficient using GPS and other routing systems 
* Map reading and route planning experience 
* An innate sense of direction 
* Self-starter who works well independently 
* Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful 
* High level of composure and good stress management 
*Working Conditions: *
* Occasionally exposed to cold when handling material stored outside 
* Exposed to vibration when driving in vehicle 
* Exposed to outside weather conditions when going in and out of customer locations 
* Requires local travel in all weather conditions 
* Requires ability to work extended hours (10+) or until all necessary work is complete within DOT guidelines. May be required to work weekends

 Pay: Up to $30.00 per hour
