**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking dedicated machine operators to oversee the operation of the concrete block machine, ensuring efficiency and product quality. The role involves starting and stopping the machine, aligning the blocks, and daily cleaning and maintenance. **Responsibilities** + Operate the concrete block machine to produce products from raw materials to the Yard stage. + Inspect the quality of products based on standards such as height, color, shape, and corners. + Monitor and report malfunctions in the block machine, batcher, mixer, bucket, admix tank, conveyors, loader, unloader, depalleter, cuber, kilns, and other nearby equipment. + Perform minor repairs and adjustments on the block machine and associated equipment. + Maintain an orderly and hazard-free work area. + Change molds as required and keep records of production. + Communicate changes in product size, color, and cubing patterns to the Cuber and Production List. + Perform daily preventative maintenance checklists and fill out maintenance request forms as needed. **Essential Skills** + Prior machine operating experience. + Basic troubleshooting skills. + Capability to perform labor duties. + Alertness to manage conveyor operations and block alignment. + Must have steel-toed boots. + Ability to work in all weather conditions. + Flexible hours and overtime availability. + Reliable transportation and excellent attendance record. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in manufacturing or production environments. + Familiarity with mechanical operations and hand tools. **Why Work Here?** Join a leading North American manufacturer of concrete masonry and paving products, known for promoting from within and providing in-house training and certifications. Conditions vary from hot in summer to cold in winter. Candidates must be comfortable with working overtime during shifts from 4:00 pm to 3:30 am. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Odenton, MD. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
