DescriptionThe YMCA is seeking a Marketing Assistant responsible for assisting the Marketing & Communications team in implementing digital and social media marketing strategies for the recruitment and retention of members, program participants, and employees.Assists the Marketing Team with social media posts, events and scheduling of contentCoordinates relevant trending content while adhering to the YMCA's Brand StandardsAssists in the creation and placement of social media ads in accordance with the advertising calendarSubmits event information to community calendarsAssists with the creation and management of email templates, works with departments on email/template needsTakes photographs/video of events, programs, and other marketing needsRequirements 2-year degree or pursuit of a degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, Writing, or a directly related field, or an equivalent combination of directly related experience, training and/or educationKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong graphic design skills required, including experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft OfficeExperience with basic video editing, website and social media managementBenefitsAll employees receive a free YMCA membership!Paid Time Off (PTO), Emergency Leave, Floating Holidays, Sick Leave, and Parental LeaveHealth, Dental & Vision Insurance - Participation may begin on the first of the month following date of hire12% Retirement Plan - The YMCA will automatically contribute an additional 12% of the eligible employee's monthly income into their YMCA Retirement Plan when the following requirements are met: The employee has been employed with the YMCA for 2 years, the employee has worked 1,000 hours during each of any two 12-month periods, and the employee is 21 years of age or older403(b) Savings Plan
