Sherman Inspire Academy is the area's first free, public K-12 charter school. Our innovative inquiry learning model inspires students to pursue their interests and be curious about the world around them. Sherman Inspire Academy's groundbreaking design fosters rich learning experiences and meaningful collaborations with staff and peers to create a school full of wonder and joy.

The Reading Specialist will collaborate with Teachers to support student learning, reduce the achievement gap and use data to inform and drive instruction to assist Teachers in improving instruction for students who are at risk for or already underperforming as compared to appropriate grade or age level standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Texas Teaching Certificate with Special Education EC-12 required
• Texas Teaching Certificate with Reading Specialist Certification preferred
• Knowledge of Dyslexia and the reading process
• Strong instructional technology skills
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Must have satisfactory outcome of the fingerprinting check before starting employment. Non-refundable fee paid by the employee
