Unit Name: Postpartum\nShift Details: 7p-7a\nFloat Requirements: Yes first to float to LDR\nOn call Requirements (If applicable): No\nWeekend and Holiday Requirements (If applicable): Yes\nBrief unit Description (2-3 sentences max): Postpartum area provides mother-baby couplet care. Staff are responsible for delivering comprehensive postpartum care, including maternal assessments, newborn evaluations, breastfeeding support, and education to assist families with postpartum discharge planning and care.\nUnit Size/Beds: The postpartum unit consists of two areas: Pod A, which includes 11 rooms, and Wesson 2, which has 20 rooms. Wesson 2 also offers surge capacity for up to 18 additional beds, as its rooms are designed to accommodate double occupancy.\nExpected Ratios: 3-4 mother baby couplet care\nCases seen (If applicable): Postpartum vaginal and cesarean delivered patients\nYears of Exp required: 1\nAdvanced Certifications required: NRP, BLS\n#457987
